Bianca Jagger - Studio 54 |

Naughty is the first thing that enters my mind whenever I search for 70's lingerie and since the 70's fashion scene reminds me of Bianca Jagger (never outdated) and her swagger and Mick Jagger (who is hot again -not like he ever stopped being sexy). The 70's glam look is the look for fall so
let's go sheer.

70's Lingerie Flashback
It seems that the perversion of the 1960's spread like wildfire in the 1970's and fashion designers pushed the limit of raw sex appeal with peek-a-boo bras, sheer lingerie, fur lined satin sets, sheer black baby dolls with lace trim, push up bras (earlier version), crotchless panties (exotic panties).
These bawdy boudoir designs were inspired by the Disco era and the Porn industry. There seemed to be a penchant for lace fringe on any lingerie garment.
The subject of sex and being overt was mainstream and it permeated in the music of that era as well...disco was foreplay and the scenes from Studio 54 were orgasmic. Popular adult magazines like Hustler and Penthouse and exploitation films like the Capone and Night Moves revealed more than undergarments on the silver screen.
Lingerie 70's Style
By the mid-1970's women's undergarments were designed as "non underwear" with lace accents - think hippie meets Laura Ashley. Lycra jersey bras with adjustable straps and no seams, darts or fastenings in sheer colors - sounds like the seamless bra recently re-introduced in the market.
